Ability is what you're capable of doing. Motivation determines what you do. Attitude determines how well you do it.

Has the FIFA World Cup fever hit you yet? As everybody is focused on the players' game style, I thought it would be fun to pay more careful attention to these world famous players' off-court style. Since Finland is such a great ice hockey nation, football usually tends to get less attention here, but during the World Cup even here up north our attention is drawed to Brazil. These are my personal favorite styles at the World Cup.

Onko jalkapallokärpänen purrut teihin jo? Koska suurin osa keskittyy jalkapallokenttien tapahtumiin, ajattelin että olisi hauskaa nähdä miten jalkapalloilijat pukeutuvat jalkapallokentän ulkopuolella. Tässä kolme suosikkityylitaituriani käynnissä olevista jalkapallon MM-kisoista

Claudio Marchisio - Italy // Italia

Off-court Claudio's style has three perfect pillars - suits, sweatpants and jeans shirts. All very good.

Jalkapallokentän ulkopuolella Claudion tyylillä on kolme peruspilaria - puvut, verkkarihousut ja farkkupaidat. Kaikki hyvännäköisiä, jos minulta kysytään.

Keisuke Honda - Japan // Japani

Off-court Keisuke's style is crystallized by accessories: bowties, scarves and brooches. Stylish!

Keisuken tyyli jalkapallokentän ulkopuolella voidaan kiteyttää käyttämällä asusteita: rusettejan, huiveja ja rintaneuloja. Hienoa!

Glen Johnson - England // Englanti

Glen's waterproof style includes bomber jackets, pastel colors and tattoos.

Glenin trendikkääseen tyyliin kuuluvat bomber-takit, pastellisävyt ja tatuoinnit.

Kenellä on teidän mielestä jalkapallomaailmanmestaruuskisojen paras tyyli?

  1. I don't know much about the world cup, America is probably the only country in the world that isn't big on soccer/football

  3. I used to be a huge fan of soccer but that was many years ago. I knew all the it-players and everything about them, the whole package, you know ;) but now when we have a house and a garden + our jobs (several of them, haha) there's just no time left for sitting in front of the tv for hours :) so my soccer knowledge is minimal today and I know nothing about the players' styles. I did enjoy your post though! brought back some nice memories :)
by the way, did you receive my e-mail? :)

    1. I don't think of it in that way, but see the World Cup as a great global event. Yes, I've received your email and your present is on its way! Due to Midsummer it might come only this week.

  4. Great eye candy, soccer is big in South Africa, our team didn't make the cut this year but we hosted the world cup four years ago and it was unbelievable. Thanks so much for stopping by and sharing your views.

  5. Hello, thanks for sharing this post, it's amazing! I found Marchisio really very elegant and looks like a model, really! Honda is very trendy, with the blond, kind of strawberry blond hair! The English one also looks elegant, but I think Marchisio wins! At least in elegance! Hope you have a great week, with great weather! denisesplanet.com
